Beyond Survival

Postdoctoral project · in progress

Nurturing community resilience among doctoral researchers in Finland. Funded by the Finnish Work Environment Fund and running through 2026, the project treats resilience not as individual endurance but as a collective leadership capacity built through community and connection. The aim is to co-create collective resilience among doctoral researchers, build participatory spaces beyond academic silos, and generate insights that support doctoral wellbeing and inform policy.

The Liminal Edge Lab

Experimental leadership lab

An experimental Theory U-based leadership lab helping university students build self-awareness, collective consciousness and ecosystem leadership by living the U journey rather than studying it. Co-created with doctoral researchers across three countries, it lays the groundwork for an ongoing, generative leadership curriculum.

Ideas in the making

Ideas in the making

Ideas in the making

An evolving record of projects, questions and half-built things. Some of these will become offerings. Some will stay questions. That is the point.

Open question

What would a resilience practice look like that belongs to a whole doctoral community, rather than to individuals?

In the making

Collaboratories as a curriculum: what happens if experimental learning spaces stop being an add-on and become the course itself?

Practice notes

Visual harvesting: how the act of drawing a conversation changes the conversation itself.

Field notes

Notes from the Flow Game table: what hosting keeps teaching me about the questions people actually carry.

If one of these makes you curious, say so. Half the projects here began because someone asked about them.

You do not need a fully formed brief. A half-formed question is enough.

Tell me about your context, your group, or the threshold you are standing at. If it feels like there might be a fit, we will take it from there together.

The future does not arrive fully formed. It emerges through how we listen and relate.
